Possibly a seafarers’ word from Old Norse bjúgr, Icelandic bjúgur, Swedish bjugg (literally “corn”), their plurals ending in -n, whence also the second half of the European words for scurvy – see also هَيْدُورة (haydūra, “sheep-skin”) appearing of similar origin even in desert-dwellers’ dialects, and note the foreign form but with fitting vocalism in Andalusi بُجُّول (bujjūl), بُجُّون (bujjūn, “stalk of a fig and similar fruits”), then possibly instead figuratively petioles or nipples as in Span
